    Provides a free nationwide 24/7 hotline that offers short-term counseling and crisis intervention to children, teens, parents and families experiencing any type of difficulty in their lives. Their counselors can also offer referrals to local services in the caller’s area. Counselors can help with issues such as:

    • School issues
    • Chemical dependency
    • Relationship problems
    • Anger
    • Depression
    • Suicide prevention
    • Physical, sexual, and emotional abuse
    • Parenting troubles
    • Teen runaways
    There are several ways that teens can make contact with a counselor: phone (hotline), text ("voice" to 20121), online chat (on website), or email (response within 48 hours). In addition, the website offers tips on how to deal with challenging situations, a message board for asking questions about different topics that are answered by counselors, and journal pages for teens to download and print worksheets to help work through issues.
