  • Description: Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance is the lead agency for the North State/Orange Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) Consortium. Processes applications and maintains continuing cases for over 26 California counties, including Yolo County.Provides financial assistance to aged, blind, or disabled non-citizens who are Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) and are not eligible to SSI/SSP due to immigration status. CAPI is a state program that mirrors the regulations for SSI/SSP. Benefit payments are equal to the SSI/SSP payment standards. CAPI participants may be eligible for Medi-Cal, In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), Protective Services, and/or Food Stamp benefits. Individuals requesting such benefits must file the appropriate application for the other program.Eligible individuals can apply by calling the CAPI Service Center or by contacting the Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency by phone or in person.
