- Description: Assists with basic necessities to low-income Yolo County residents facing a short-term hardship.Aid includes: Eviction Prevention3-day pay or quit or some type of eviction notice is required. Assist with the payment for one month's rent or up to $1,000 to prevent eviction.If amount required to revoke the eviction notice is greater than $1,000, recipients must show proof of funds to pay the remaining balance that STEAC cannot assist withResidents can receive eviction prevention rental assistance once a year (full 12 months)First Month's RentProvides assistance for one month's rent up to $1,000 to help pay for first month's rent or deposit for long-term housingResidents can receive first month's rental assistance every two yearsBill Pay / UtilitiesIf seeking assistance with a PG&E bill, your most recent bill must have a 48-hour, 15-day, or shut-off notice alert in order to assistAssistance up to $250 is given to prevent utilities from being turned off or to have them restoredAssistance available to pay for a bill or approved expense such as: water, or gas payment, medical expenses, car repairs, funeral expenses, and more as approved by staffResidents can receive utilities asstance once a year (full 12 months) Clothing for job interviews and everyday wear Job training Legal documents - Driver's licenses/ ID cards, birth certificates, notary services, and more.The frequency of service eligibility varies by service.
