  • Description: Covid-19 update (10/22/20): offices are closed to the general public. Most services available by phone or online. In-person services are for persons experiencing homelessness only (Mon-Fri: 7:30am-1pm).

    Provides health care services for low-income persons of Kern County. Including families with children, adults, seniors, persons with disabilities, children in foster care, and pregnant women. Also provides health care coverage for chronic diseases such as tuberculosis, cancer, and HIV/AIDS.

    Medi-Cal helps cover:
      - Hospitalization
      - Prescription drugs
      - Laboratory services
      - Dental care (Denti-Cal)
      - Prenatal and perinatal care
      - Ambulatory patient services
      - Pediatric services (including oral and vision care)
      - Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices
      - Behavioral health and substance use disorder services
      - Offers eligible members Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
      - Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management

      - Former foster youth up to the age of 26 (regardless of income)
      - Supplemental Security Income / State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) recipients
