Accessible parking located in the City lot is NOT exempt from payment of parking fees.   • Description: Free workshop to help people who do not have attorneys with the process to apply for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Virtual and in-person workshops are available.Virtual Workshop: The workshop is held through Zoom. The workshop is informational and does not go into details about completing the forms. In-Person: The workshop is presented in person at the William R. Ridgeway Family Relations Courthouse. This workshop goes over the restraining order process as well as the completion of the forms, which may be filed following the workshop.

  • Eligibility: Sacramento County Residents who are undergoing the process to apply for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Individuals may request a Domestic Violence Restraining Order against their spouse or former spouse; person they are dating, or person they have dated; lover; mother or father of their child; anyone closely related to them by blood, marriage, or adoption (example: mother, father, child, brother, sister, grandparent); or person who regularly lives in their home.
