- Description: A state-certified harm reduction and syringe exchange program serving Sacramento County:Services include: Safepoint Syringe Exchange: A free sterile syringe access and disposal program aiming to promote disease reduction. Allows community members to come and exchange used syringes for free, sterile syringes and a free 'sharps' container for safe disposal. Safepoint Training: Provides free training on how to recognize and respond to an overdose, how to administer nasal Narcan, how to properly administer any subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, and how to prevent an overdose.
