The nationally renowned Art in Public Places program was established in 1977 to expand public experiences of visual art by installing artworks in public spaces. The Gallery program provides visual arts experiences in public locations. The ongoing series of free public exhibitions showcase the artistic and cultural resources of the region. The Sacramento Poet Laureate program is designed to increase literary awareness in Sacramento County. Sacramento365.com is the arts and entertainment resource for Sacramento County. Features comprehensive listings of music, theatre and dance performances, museum and gallery exhibitions, film screenings, poetry readings, cultural festivals, kids' activities, etc.Works on arts marketing and cultural tourism, developing the region as a rich cultured destination for residents and travelers.
