  • Description: Provides a coordinated effort in helping youth firesetters and their families receive the help they need through education, diversion, assessment, and psychological services.A coalition of firefighters, probation officers, teachers, nurses, counselors, and more work in a coordinated effort to reduce the amount of youth set fires. Youth who have experimented with fire will be put through a Fire Safety Academy where they will learn better decision-making skills, problem-solving, fire safety education, consequences, and more. Academies are usually held two to three times a year. Referrals are accepted.
