- Description: The Resource Center is the first stop for anyone seeking help from the Mission. Provides guests with information about all the services available. Guests are also welcome to sit in the chapel for warmth on very cold days and coolness on very hot days.Services include: Shelter, food, and clothing Basic medical to those in need via the HOPE Van (call for hours) Fee waiver or fee reduction voucher to replace State I.D./D.L. at DMV Vouchers for haircuts at Shasta School of Cosmetology. First-come, first-served basis. Early mornings and at the beginning of the month are best. Small lockers: $10 start-up fee, $5 per month. Reserve on Monday or Thursday. Faith-based storage: Free 3'x3' area for registered guests, accessible 2 times per day. Coordinated case management with Shasta County Mental Health. Helps participants maintain their prescribed medication and counseling regimens. Referrals to other community resources.Offers the Academic Center to shelter guests. Provides GED coursework and testing. Offers work-based learning, individual and group tutoring, and other special life skills instruction.Please note: Allows service animals with documentation. Must be on a leash and with the owner at all times.
