Also called "PSPS" events.Disabled persons who use electrical/ assistive technology, or medical devices, can get the help from DDARC.DDARC can help disabled people prepare for PSPS events in the following ways:Personalized preparedness plans.Backup batteries or generators.Gasoline for generators.Short-term hotel stays.During PSPS events.Food and transportation support.Examples of electrical medical equipment:Bipap, CPAP or oxygen concentrator, a scooter, power chair or cell phone.In Humboldt County, DDARC is available through Tr-County Independent Living.
