- Description: 4/24/23 - Although filing deadlines are extended for people affected by 2023 winter storms,VITA tax preparation services are not extended and are closed for the year.---------------------------Free 2023 VITA Tax Preparation Service for 2022 tax returns for Low Income Nevada County Residents Wednesday April 12th is the last day to drop off tax docs. Saturday April 15th they will be open for tax prep from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (appointment needed) Call 530-265-1798 (leave message) or email eitc@nevadacountyca.gov to make an appointment. They close on April 18th at the end of the day (5pm)------------------------------ The service opened 1/30/23. Income limit is $66,000 or less.
