• Description: Offering therapy services for pediatric disorders including: feeding complications and food adversions, articulation, speech sound disorders, language delay, social communication, apraxia, development delays, expressive language disorder, late talkers, phonological disorder, receptive language disorder, and stuttering; as well as adult disorders including: aphasia, acquired apraxia, dysarthria, stuttering, speech sound disorders, cognitive communication, dysphagia/swallowing complications and palliative consultation. Services include: free initial consultation, full speech/language evaluations with standardized testing, full bedside swallow evaluation, complete report, individualized plan of care development, and caregiver education and training. Evaluations are strongly encouraged before beginning therapy in order to provide the most effective and appropriate therapy. Evaluations typically take about 1-2 hours and are conducted in the clinic. On occasion, assessments may be conducted in-home or in-school to allow a child to be in their most natural environment. The assessment examines a potential client's speech, receptive and expressive language skills and pragmatic (social) skills. In cases where therapy is recommended, the assessment report will include a treatment plan and goals to be addressed during therapy sessions.
