- Description: Provides an opportunity for citizen volunteers to perform routine police functions. VIPS are trained to assist in taking police reports, conducting front counter services, surveillance in problem areas, pre-party contacts, community patrol, and numerous other duties. Members will be required to volunteer a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per quarter (three month period).
