• Description: Offers a taxi reimbursement program of up to $80 every three months for Emeryville residents age 70 and over, and the ADA eligible disabled age 18 to 69. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend one Paratransit Program Workshop a year. Reimbursement is valid with any of the following taxi companies licensed in Alameda County:
  • Yellow Cab of the East Bay
  • Friendly Cab Company
  • Metro Yellow Taxi Cab
  • Veterans Cab Company
  The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal Law that prohibits discrimination based on one's disability in regard to employment, public services, and transportation. The ADA guarantees people with disabilities equal access to public transportation. Public transportation providers cannot refuse service to those with disabilities.
