  • Glaucoma Eye Care Program

    This program provides medical and surgical eye care referrals to seniors. Participating doctors provide medical eye exams and care for anything diagnosed at the initial visit for up to 1 year at no out-of-pocket cost for the physician's services. Medicare and any other insurance will be billed and accepted as payment in full. Uninsured are seen at no cost.

    Eyeglasses, prescriptions, hospital services, and other medical services are not covered under the program.

    Intake and Eligibility: Must be a US citizen or legal resident
    Must not have had an eye exam in 1 year or more
    Must be at increased risk for glaucoma because of family history, race, or age
    Must not have belong to an HMO or receive eyecare benefits thru the VA
