- Description: Offers weatherization services to make a home more energy-efficient and safe. Weatherization measures may include: Gas cooking appliance repair/replacement Repair and replacement of heating/cooling systems Weather-stripping and caulking of doors and windows Refrigerator repair/replacement Water heater repair/replacement Microwave replacement Insulation of walls, ceilings, floors, and attics Low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators Smoke/CO alarm replacement and proper installation Inefficient light replacement Duct repair and replacementPlease Note: Due to high demand, there is currently a waitlist for weatherization services. Applicants at this time are looking at a waiting period of 3-6 months, to receive an assessment for services. If a client's water heater is inoperable, and they meet certain criteria (advanced age, poor health, young children in the home, etc.), they could qualify as needing "immediate attention", which usually means that they address the issue within a few days of the initial assessment.
