The following services are provided: Complaint Process Animal Shelter Services Pet Food Pantry - Food can be picked up once a month on during regular business hours Animal Licensing Dog Parks Vaccination Clinics Spay/Neuter Programs Lost & Found Services Animal Adoption and Surrender Dangerous Animal & Bite reporting/investigations Rabies Control; quarantine of bite animals Abuse investigation Dead animal reporting & roadway removal. Animals weighing less than 15 pounds may be deposited in County refuse containers. Cold Weather Pet Tips Hot Weather Pet Tips*Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation will respond to rattlesnake calls at private residences if the snake is inside a garage or enclosed backyard in close proximity to a house. Will also respond to skunk calls if there are any reported human or domestic animal contact or exposure due to rabies threat. In addition, responds to sick and injured wildlife, typically these are most often rabbits, opossums, raccoon, squirrels, skunks, and birds of all kinds.Reports can be filed on the 311 website or mobile app.
