- Description: Provides a free Information & Resource line that promotes resources available for prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect by providing support and direct linkages to community resources for families within Sacramento County.Resources can include but are not limited to free family recreation events, mobile food banks, job assistance services, parenting groups/classes, affordable housing listings, grief support, no-cost/ low-cost counseling services, and many more.Free training offered to the community, parents, and professionals who serve children and families in the recognition and response to child abuse (Mandated Child Abuse Reporting Training), define and support the impacts of violence on children, positive discipline, and other related child development topics. Achieved through capacity building and legislative advocacy through Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers, Safe Beginnings, and Child Death Review Team.
